Data Link Layer

The Data Link Layer contains the low level ethernet driver which connects the Network Layer to the Physical Layer. Packets received over the ethernet are passed up to the Network Layer. Packets from the Network Layer are tansmitted out over the ethernet cable.

Ethernet 802.3 driver is included in the standard stack. This driver is optimized for the Ethernet Media Access Controller (EMAC) in the eZ80F91 Microcontroller. The 8K frame buffer can be configured to match your communication needs. Memory unallocated to the frame buffer is available for your use.
